The ASI 0412 Recessed Shelf was designed with the needs of hotel bathrooms in mind but can be used in any type of commercial setting where semi-enclosed storage is required. For proper installation the shelf requires a rough opening that measures 16-1/2 inches in width by 6-1/2 inches in height by 4 inches in depth. The shelf unit is 18 inches in width by 8 inches in height in size and extends from the mounting surface by 1/4 of an inch once installed. The shelf is made of fine quality type-304 18-8 alloy 22-gauge stainless steel. All of the exposed surfaces have an attractive No. 4 satin finish which has an eye-catching gleam but is less likely to show fingerprints that polished surfaces. The face trim on the shelf is 1 inch wide and the entire unit is crafted from one piece of metal so that there are no seams miters or burrs.
